Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Texts must be original, unpublished and within the scope of the Journal. Works that have been presented at events may be accepted, as long as they are informed at the time of submission in "Comment to the editor".
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • Texts must not be in the evaluation process in other journals, even if in another language.
  • Texts must be structured in accordance with the formatting standards presented in the "Submissions" section, following the template, if applicable.
  • The texts do not contain any information about the authors and/or institutions of origin.
  • The author's data must be added in the fields provided at the time of submission and/or in a separate file, sent as a supplementary document.
  • Texts can be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish or English.
  • The content of the manuscript is the sole responsibility of the authors, who, however, must make the editors aware of potential conflicts of interest - of a personal, commercial, political, academic or financial nature - that may have exerted influence on the submitted material, as well as clarifying the ways in which such conflicts were resolved. Furthermore, authors must explain in the manuscript all financial support received, as well as economic or personal connections that allowed the work to be carried out. When submitting the manuscript, the authors assume that there is no plagiarism or self-plagiarism in the material sent.
  • I declare that I am aware that the Copyrights for articles published in this journal belong to the author, with first publication rights granted to the Journal. The Journal adopts the Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Creative Commons License – CC BY-NC.
  • I declare that I will provide the ORCID, URL containing the Lattes link, as well as important information such as the author's affiliation and biography, as soon as I submit the text to this journal.
  • At least one of the authors must be a Ph.D. holder or a Ph.D. candidate.

Author Guidelines

Submissions

Manuscripts for review must be submitted through the journal's system after registration. The author information for the article or review must be filled out as completely as possible, always including institutional affiliation, city/location, and biography. Keywords, abstract, and references for the submission must also be filled out correctly. The text file for evaluation must be attached in the submission system.

Revista Coletivo Cine-Fórum - RECOCINE follows the standards established by ABNT for texts written in Portuguese, and suggests the use of APA for articles written in foreign languages, such as English and Spanish.

ORIGINAL ARTICLES

Articles must be between 12 (twelve) and 20 (twenty) pages, A4 format, with all margins set to 3 cm.

ESSAY

Essays should indicate only the title and contain the basic structure of introduction, foundation, conclusion, and bibliographic references, with a minimum of 6 (six) and a maximum of 8 (eight) pages, not including bibliographic references. The body of the text should be in font size 12, Times New Roman, justified, 1.5 line spacing, with a paragraph indentation of 1.25 cm.

INTERVIEW

It is essential that interviews include an introduction of no more than one page. Additionally, they should include the names of the interviewee(s) and interviewer(s), indicating qualifications, academic affiliation, research group (if any), and contact email. We request the submission of a simple authorization statement from the interviewee(s) agreeing to the publication of the work, containing data and signed in PDF format. Interviews should not exceed 10 (ten) pages. The body of the text should be in font size 12, Times New Roman, justified, 1.5 line spacing, with a paragraph indentation of 1.25 cm.

REVIEW

Reviews of books, cinematographic works, and audiovisual content (short, medium, and feature films, documentaries, fictions, animations, video clips, series, videos, etc.) will be accepted. Reviews should be between 3 (three) and 7 (seven) pages; the review title must be original; the author should sequentially indicate the reference (bibliographic and film) of the reviewed work, the name(s) of the author(s) of the work, and the year.

TRANSLATIONS

Translations should follow the same formatting standards as other articles. Translations should adhere to the writing style of the original (inserted in our scientific article template above). Only translations submitted with the authorization for publication from the copyright holder of the original text or with proof that the original work is free of copyright or in the public domain will be evaluated. Translations should contain (in the original text, up to 20 pages). At the time of submission, the original text, the translated text, and the authorization from the rights holder or proof of the work being free of rights must be sent.
